These technologies are recognized as a next-generation bio-research paradigm capable of overcoming the limitations of animal testing and enhancing human predictability. The global market is already projected to grow from $1 billion to over $3.3 billion by 2030, accelerating collaboration between biotech companies and academia. Concurrently, drug candidate evaluation platforms integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) are also being actively researched. In Korea, companies such as Organoid Science, Next&Bio, and Samsung Biologics are actively participating, with commercialization efforts through the 'K-Organoid Consortium' gaining momentum. The core objective is to increase research efficiency from preclinical to clinical stages, thereby reducing clinical failure rates.
