Frequently asked questions
Is LiVEGEL a culture medium?
No. LiVEGEL is a live imaging solution for 3D organoids and spheroids. Add your organoids to LiVEGEL at the point of imaging or electrophysiological recording.
How do I use it?
(1) Bring refrigerated LiVEGEL to room temperature just before use. (2) Place your organoids with LiVEGEL in an imaging plate, such as a 24-well plate. (3) Start time-lapse live imaging. Organoids stay in place throughout long-term imaging.
What does it do?
It holds organoids in place during long-term imaging and MEA recording, reducing image mismatch, and improves fluorescence image clarity (in-house data: about 20% sharper on average in SH-SY5Y cells).
How should LiVEGEL be stored?
Store at 2–8°C and bring to room temperature just before use.
Can I use it with ADDGEL?
Yes. Organoids grown in ADDGEL can be transferred to LiVEGEL for long-term live imaging.
